The Commonwealth Bank Tennis Classic 2008 will be held in Grand Hyatt Bali Resort-Hotel, Nusa Dua September 7-14, 2008. Some players who participated to this tournament are Daniela Hantuchova (rank 12), Patty Schyder (rank 13), Nadia Petrova (rank 17) and Flavia Penneta (rank 18). The tournament itself was held for the first time in 1994 at Surabaya, Indonesia. In 2001, the tournament moved to Bali in order to promote Indonesia and primarily Bali to the world. Offering $225,000 as prize money, this tournament has become the biggest WTA event in Southeast Asia.
